o2 developed LAVA (Live Ambient Visualization Application) a proprietary software and hardware system that transforms a live musicians performances into an immersive and reactive multi-media experience. The system allows artists to play the interface from the stage and call up patches of media, which are then responsive to the live music, driving the speed of animation, the pulse of the video objects and more. Mos Def has been performing with LAVA at venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. among others.
